Specialized Services
Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
The CHRISTUS Santa Rosa WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program is a nutrition and breastfeeding education and support program that provides supplemental food vouchers. Our services are available for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants up to 1 year old, and children 5 and younger.
The WIC program helps families learn about nutrition and healthful lifestyles through nutrition education, individual counseling and classes. Nutrition risk assessments are performed for all our clients. Breastfeeding mothers are offered counseling and breast pumps to facilitate their return to work and/or school.
WIC services are available Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Evening appointments are offered for working clients at all four CHRISTUS Santa Rosa WIC sites, including downtown, University Health Center, Santa Rosa Hospital-Medical Center and Lackland Air Force Base (for military families).
For more information or to make an appointment, call (210) 704-4180.
