San Antonio, we have One Million Reasons to help End Child Abuse. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital Center for Miracles along with Goldsbury Foundation are committed to helping prevent child abuse. In May, we announced a $1 Million Challenge Grant, asking the community to step forward and help end this epidemic that is claiming the lives of our children.
If you donate today, your money will help meet the match of that challenge grant and will help fund efforts aimed at child abuse prevention.
PALOMA Mission—This Mission is to help provide Parenting And Loving Outreach for Mothers And babies. We plan to do just that through our new nurse, home visitation program. Every baby born at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa deserves a good, healthy start in life. While every family may be excited about their new addition, they may also find that some additional resources would be helpful. Therefore, every family of the babies born at CHRISTUS will be asked if they would like a nurse to visit their home. That nurse will help provide valuable information and resources to help the mother and baby achieve a wonderful start for a healthy, happy future.
You will also help educate the community on child abuse prevention resources such as those available through this website. The resources listed here will provide any caregiver, teacher, counselor, physician, law enforcement officer or case worker information on child abuse and child abuse prevention.
In addition, you will help promote the Childhelp Hotline—A toll free hotline available for any caregiver needing help. Professional counselors answer this line to talk you through the stressful times and get you the local resources you made need for the future.
